Step 1 - Finding your Turnitin submission dropbox

Sign in to the Keele Learning Environment (KLE) and navigate to the module you wish to submit your assignment.

Select the Learning tab from the top right of the screen.

Select the module from My Courses.

Find your Turnitin dropbox (usually located in Assessments in the left hand menu)

Click on the View/Complete link. You will then be asked to enter your assignment information.

Step 2 - Submitting your assignment

Author - this should be automatically populated, if not, click on the drop down arrow on the right and select your name from the list.

First Name - Enter your first name, if not already populated.

Surname - Enter your surname, if not already populated.

Submission Title - Please enter your student ID number as the submission title, unless instructed otherwise by your tutor.

Choose the file you want to upload to TurnitinUK: To upload your assignment, select from your computer, Dropbox or Google Drive.

Select the document that you wish to submit and click the Upload button.

Step 3 - Submission preview

You will now see a preview of your submission. Use this screen to double check that you have chosen the correct file. It will give you information such as word count, file size and type. It will also allow you to view multiple pages.

Once you have confirmed that this is the correct document, click the Confirm button and your document will be submitted to the Turnitin system.

Depending on the size of the file you are uploading, it may take up to 2 minutes to successfully submit the document.

Once the document has been submitted you will see another screen that will tell you if your submission has been successful.

Step 4 - Digital receipt

Now that you have submitted your document successfully, you will see a Submission ID code. This is your digital receipt.

It is very important that you make a note of the Submission ID as proof of your submission. Print this page and store it safely and make a note of the number. You should also receive email confirmation containing your digital receipt.

Now that your submission is complete, click Go to assignment inbox.
